Reservations & paying on DP with separate parties

I'm sure this is on here a million times but I couldn't think of a good way yo search for it! We will be traveling with my parents this time, two separate bookings. Questions:
1) Both of us can be on one dining reservation, correct? Our hotel situation should have no baring on our dining requests. (Wanting to confirm this)

2) How do we pay at a TS restaurant? Do they just do separate checks?

2) Yes, just tell the waiter who is on which bill (OOP and DDP)
