Hi. I'm gonna be going to WDW in early Sept. I don't have an issue with booking my reservations for dinner but I kind of hate to have to book for lunch and breakfast. I'm on the deluxe meal plan (if that matters) and I was wondering from someone who's been in the last few months or weeks, do I need to make reservations for lunch? I didn't know what the crowds were like nowadays. I was there last in Aug of last year and I did have to make reservations for lunch then but I didn't know if the crowds were a lot lower.

Thanks.

Yes.Free dining is going on which makes the restaurants more crowded, and most places will not be taking walk ups or standby guests. If you know you want TS places for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner, make adrs. You can always cancel or try to change them

My guess would be that you will need reservations since that is during the free dining period. I have read on past posts that people were taking the popular TS restaurants for lunch since dinner reservations weren't available. During free dining the TS restaurants can be booked from opening to closing.

With free dining going on in September Im going to go ahead and assume you will need dining reservations. The park crowds may be lower than usual, but from what I hear restaurants are still busy. If I were you, Id make a few. You dont want to be stuck eating CS alot when you paid for the Deluxe Dining!

Are you going this Sept? If so, I would book your breakfast & lunches ASAP as most good restaurants are probably already booked, as booking opened at the beginning of January. Absolutely, you must book all of your ADRs, breakfast, lunch & dinner for Sept as it is free dining.

YES!! lol

Otherwise, you will end up at A LOT of counter service.

On DH and my 1st trip together to disney, neither had been since we were kids. I hadn't discovered the DIS yet, and we had NO IDEA how important ressies were (I had only made a couple for character meals - didn't understand you needed them for EVERYTHING). We were there in Jan, and we still had a lot of problems. I seriously didn't want to look at another french fry again for quite a while. Hehe.

We have already heard from the people who have been trying to make ADR for September having a veryhard time finding what they want is not available for dinner or for lunch.

Bet many of the places you want are already booked tight. Unless of course you are not going to eat in the parks and rather eat at the resorts

ADRs for all meals at any time are recommended, including breakfast and lunch.
