reservations needed for certain activites?

Hi everyone! We are coming to camp at the Fort for 2 weeks over Christmas time- we have only been to Disney once and that was in Feb of 2012- we stayed at the cabins- this time we have our own motorhome!
What I'm wondering is what things do we need reservations for that we might want to do, such as do you need reservations for the sleigh ride, the horseback rides, the archery lessons? I'd love any information on these and any other activities as well! Thank you in advance!

ps. We do have a golf cart reserved- would the wagon/sleigh rides still be worth it, or not really?

Also- not really related- but should we be reserving a rental car now if we need one?

I don't know about if you NEED a reservations but you CAN make reservations and since your trip is around Christmas which is a busy time, I would recommend it. I don't think you need to make it WAY in advance like you did your campsite ressie but maybe within a week or two and inside that window, I would consider it.

We've done these activities on a walkup basis but I believe they DO take reservations: pontoon rental, the little mouse racer boats, canoes and kayaks, and the FW Segway Backcountry tour. Archery looked pretty full the day I was there in April.

If your schedule is flexible about what days you might be in the parks or not, you can walk up and if it's not available today, they might have space tomorrow. If your visit is a little more structured, you might want to go ahead and schedule things a little in advance (but please don't be too Type A).
