Reservations How Far In Advance?

Another newbie question: How far in advance should we book reservations for the resorts? I've found discounts on-line if we visit DW in November and December. But we're not going to go until summer of 2006. Is it better to wait until we get closer to summer?

I booked my December 2005 vacation in April, and used my AAA discount, but if a better discount comes along, I'm going to call and see if I can use that instead. Getting the 20% room discount was worth the $50 I plunked down for the AAA membership. Go to http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyresorts.html#AAA for info about using a AAA discount. It's a good idea, because if no other codes come out, at least you got something!

Book as soon as you know your dates for sure so you guarantee you get what and where you want. I booked WL for after Thanksgiving on March 31 and all the standard rooms were already sold out. If a discount comes out later you can always apply it to your existing reservation as many of us just did last week.

I booked my room in Feb. for our Oct trip and found a dicount tonight and called and it was applied. So I'd say if there is a specific hotel in mind then book ASAP, especially for the summer.
