Reservations for Two families at Polynesian Luau

We will meet up with another family when we are going to WDW in February. We'd like to go to the Polynesian Luau (Spirit of Aloha) together. I know you need a credit card to make the reservation. Is there a way we can each make our own family's reservation and still be seated together?

I would call and ask if you can make 1 reservation but pay for using 2 credit cards (yours for your part of the bill, the other family for their part). You can do this when you make a room reservation, so maybe you can do it for dining also.
