Reservations for Epcot Candlelight Processional Dining Packages begin 10/14

Oh good that means a fun day at work!

But yeah I wonder if that means nothing is getting booked? I see stuff disappear... I can't believe if ANYONE is getting through that we haven't gotten at least something across two MDE accounts and going to our phones or laptops. Hopefully something clears up.

Edit:

Finally about 7:10am I was able to get Le Cellier for 4:30pm (8:15pm show) for Sat Dec 20! I’m happy with that. Would have preferred like 5:30-6pm but oh well.
I am glad you got through eventually! We did too - eventually - for Brendan Fraser N2 on 12/21.

It is SO frustrating after being ready and online at 445am my time - 545 EST and starting at 6am EST going thru 100+ tries on 3 devices (orange "timed out" error messages every time) and a 32-minute phone call with Disney IT (patient pants and kindness on despite my annoyance and stress) I was able to get the 6:45 showtime we wanted with the 3rd restaurant choice on the list - Biergarten at 2pm. Which is totally fine for our family.

Not sure what the issue was for you or others but I see the packages are now all sold out for our date - so the site had to be working for some folks!

*** FYI Bonnet Creek Resort Guests*** CALL DISNEY IT if you have issues booking ASAP! Disney IT told me they had to book CP for me due to the reservation type - despite this being in my window and email confirmation it was open today. My first time not staying at WDW main hotel properties and first time with this bad of a dining reservation issue.... of course we have had them in past but not like this one. Strange thing is she said I needed to do that for all my dining but 30 min later I added a Beak and Barrel on my own. Maybe IT had to activate/add something to my account. Everything was linked prior per the IT person I talked to Saturday and I should have been good to go in their eyes.

When I was having issues I was wondering if there was something wrong with my reservation, but I remember I had booked a "canary" CP when they first released to see how the process worked. And then much like you, I was able to start booking things after 7am eastern time. I think they just had lots of issues and not many bookings were going through because of the AWS issues in us-east-1 region. I never got through to anyone on the phone but magically my reservations started working after most of the AWS issues were cleared up.

(However, I realize that isn't necessarily 100% with what you were told on the phone, but it seems related)

Excited for Brendan Fraser!

I always search candlelight and then after selecting CP, i select reserve dining…

Is there a reason you are recommending that approach instead?
I could not get a reserve dining tab on that page, so I wanted to just offer another alternative if people were having the same trouble. I could not make any reservations until almost 630, but I really think it was my fault and not a fault with the system.

Just received notification that unfortunately Jennifer Garner is no longer the narrator on December 3-4. It is now Susan Egan. I understand things happen and know the show is so much more than the narrator (and am equally sure Susan Egan will be wonderful) but I can't help but be a little disappointed since as someone local-ish I do pick the night we go based on narrator. Oh well, holiday time at EPCOT and Candlelight are always terrific.

Thank you for booking a dining package for the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT.

There has been a change to the entertainment for the evening of your reservation. Jennifer Garner will not be narrating on December 3-4, 2025. As a replacement, Susan Egan will be the celebrity narrator on those dates.

Susan has made powerful impressions in theatre, film, television, animation and music, both in front of the lights and behind the scenes. She portrayed Belle in the first production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, voiced Megara in the Disney Animation classic, Hercules, and was recently named the godmother of Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the Disney Destiny.

Thanks so much for posting. Disappointing, but good to know in advance!

There will be a lot of disappointed folks because there was so much excitement about her first time doing this. Like you, I know it will be fine, but I totally understand.
