Reservations for Epcot Candlelight Processional Dining Packages begin 10/14

Thank you for sharing your experience. We plan to probably arrive 20-30 minutes ahead but will keep an eye on things. We aren't too concerned with WHERE we sit just so long as we can sit.
If you have a dining ticket, you will have a seat. They say arrive like 30 mins before show time but there was no way I was standing in some 30 min line so I asked a CM and she told me I'll get in to my show if I have a ticket. Once saw package people come into sold-out NPH show like 10 mins late and still got their seats- not good seats, but seats.

Finally able to get Via Napoli. Was on right away at 7 EST. Via Napoli was not there, so I grabbed Garden Grill. Wasn't sure if it wasn't loaded or already gone. I kept looking and about two hours or so later there was 1 time slot at 4:10 for Via Napoli on December 13th. I snagged that one up very quickly. Then went and cancelled Garden Grill.

There are dates available for 3 people, but all the 2 people bookings are gone , they need to open up more availability for 2.

Like others in this thread, I booked for 3 when I couldn’t get a reservation for 2. I’ll chat or call later to reduce it to 2.

Just like last year, this whole booking experience was a mess, bordering on disaster.
The tables for 2 went as fast as they were released. Nothing was released on time either.

Then there was the fact that they released the CP dates so late, you had over 4 weeks all trying to book at the same time. And now people don't have a choice but to grab whatever they could find, even if it's not the time, date, restaurant, showtime, or the correct number of people.

I snagged a reservation for 3 people on my chosen day. Through chat, I asked that they modify it to 2 people. They said that they cannot modify this reservation. They said that I can show up at the reservation with only 2 people, but it's up to the discretion of the restaurant to decide if they will charge for the extra person.

I just sent an email to Disney via the Contact Us link on the MDE website, asking to modify from 3 guests to 2 because I don't want to take a place from someone else who wants to attend. I also asked whether we'd be charged for 3 people if we show up with only 2. I'll report back when I receive a response - which might be several days, per the automatic acknowledgement email.

I'm sure the restaurants won't be happy having multiple parties of 2 show up when the reservation says it's for 3 or 4 guests, whether the restaurant insists on charging for all those reservations or not. If they do charge, it will be another social media black eye for WDW. I'm fortunate in that our date is well after the CP begins, so I'll have opportunity to cancel if they say we'll have to pay for 3 people - or I'll add my 2 year old DGD as the third guest to our reservation.

Does the system reset at 6am or 7am (EDT)? I ask as my window opens tomorrow and want to be sure to get on right away to hopefully get something. Thanks in advance for any info.
