Reservations for Citywalk Restaurants?

Do I need reservations for the restaurants in Citywalk? Also, I read that buying tickets also gives you access to Citywalk. Is it gated?

You rarely need reservations for CityWalk restaurants unless you're going during a holiday period when its really busy. You can make reservations through www.opentable.com or at the kiosk outside the theater on the day you want to go. The CityWalk Party passes are for the clubs...saving you the cover charges. CityWalk is not gated...its open to everyone.

We never have a problem getting into Margaritaville for lunch, but have encountered long lines at dinner time.
