Reservations for 8 adults and 2 children

When I look online it says "you may be seated separately". Has this ever happened to anyone but you still were able to sit together or least close together?

We are a large party and we usually get that notice. It has never happened to us in 5 trips.

We did 8 adults and two children 3 years ago. While on occasion we had to wait a little bit longer for a table (most notably at Le Cellier and 50's Prime Time Cafe) we always got seated together. Oh, we did sit separately at the Sci-Fi Drive In, but that was because we were in cars. And to their credit, they got us two cars right near each other.

We have been separated on many occasions, but generally speaking--they try to seat us together.

They do their best to seat you next to each other, and all in the same vicinity is usually the worst case scenario. But if you get there the full 15 minutes prior instead of showing up 5 minutes beforehand that gives you better luck.
