I will be travling to WDW this October with my family of 7-- my husband & myself along with my two little boys LOVE seafood so I was planning to make ADRs for dinner at Cape May Cafe. My two teenagers however hate seafood & I doubt they would want to tag along-- although with that being said-- they both tend to be finicky with likes & dislikes of food- & well, life in general-- so they may decide to join us?? Question-- if I make the reservation for 7 and arrive with only 5, will that be a problem??

Thanks

Most likely you'll be fine. Just tell the CM as the podium the correct number when you check-in. As long as someone shows up for the reservation you won't be counted as a "no show". If you think there is a chance that the other two will want to join you, then make the ADR for 7. It's easier to show up with less people than it is to show up with more.

It's not a problem at any restaurant. We went 2 years ago and 2 of our party didn't make the trip. Every ADR was over by 2 people and it was not an issue anywhere.

There are plenty of non-seafood items at Cape May. There is always a sliced beef and pork roast. They also have some other meat dishes. And there is mac and cheese on the kids counter that they can have.

That's what I was going to say. My mom can't stand seafood, but my husband loves Cape May. I make an ADR there just about every trip for my husband. My mom always finds plenty to eat and enjoys it too.

Restaurants are set up in terms to two - tables are referred to as 2-top; 4-top; 6-top, etc.

If you go from an 8 top to a 6 top, it enables the restaurant to free up a table for 2 people that may be waiting, or add it to another table for a larger party.

They will be very accommodating.
