Reservations for 2009?

Right now you can only book through December of 2008. Does anyone know, or have an idea, when they usually open up the next year for reservations? Thank you.

Is that on line? I thought if you call you could book 499 days out?

I think usually on line they open up the pricing for the following year late spring - early summer.

I assumed it was the same online and if you called. Thank you for letting me know about late spring/early summer. I guess I'll try and call to find out. We want to book as soon as possible since we're looking at a popular time of year to visit.

I called Disney Travel Co yesterday with the same question. 2009 packages could come out as late as July or August 2008. You can book room only reservations 499 days out, the price would be the current pricing, when the 2009 rates come out, you will be notified of the price increase of your reservation. If you want to add a package when the packages become available, you can without having to rebook.

I decided that I would book room only 499 days out to make sure I get the resort and view that I want. When the 2009 packages come out I will decide if I want to change to a package.

I am also waiting until we can book for 2009. I plan on doing a package so I am going to hold off until summer when they put the package pricing out there. I can't wait just to book!!!

We are doing the same thing. Booking the room as soon as possible and adding the package when it becomes available. Can't take the chance of not getting our resort and view.

Release Dates for Full Price Vacation Packages
2005 vacation packages were released in mid-June 2004.
2006 vacation packages were released June 30, 2005.
2007 vacation packages were released August 6, 2006.
2008 vacation packages were released August 5, 2007.

I told the same thing - you can book rooms only 499 days out and then when the price comes out for the packages you can add that later.

That's what we are planning on doing for our magical gathering in '09.

Just one more point. The 499 days is from your departure date from the resort, not the arrival date.

Thank you all so much. We're only looking to book the room anyways, so now it's good to know when to plan on calling to reserve the room. We want to call ASAP because we need a handicapped accessible room and we want to make sure we get in the resort/view we want.
