We just booked another trip with the free dining plan and I made all of our res. My hubby mentioned to a friend that we are going. We have tried to get them to go inthe past and they wouldn't. Anyway they decided to go a day later so I spent an hour on the phone re-booking. The new mom way like "I can't believe you are booking dinner". I was suprised at how busy it was. Many just don't understand that you basically have to book that far in advance.

Just venting, I guess:goodvibes

I just made ADRs for the following restaurants for dinner. I think I got good times ...ususally between 5:45 and 7. I did wait on hold for a while before they answered, which is new.

LeCellier
California Grill
Narcoocees
Boma
Brown Derby
Artists Point
Flying Fish
Citricos
Cape May Café
Coral Reef

Does anyone have a link to a thread that explains how the points work on the Dining Plan? I have no idea how any of this works.

Hi! If you go to allearsnet.com, she explains in details how the plan works, and also has a chart of which restaurants are one credit, and which are two credits.

Looking at your list, many of your restaurants are two credits: Artists Point, Citricos, Brown Derby, California Grille, Narcosees, I think maybe Flying Fish. (Maybe you already knew this?). Anyway, you'll have to pay for several of your meals out of pocket.

The OP is correct. 6 out of the 10 restaurants listed are signature restaurants worth 2TS credits. Assuming you are going for 10 days, you would get 10 TS credits. After your TS credits are used up, you will be paying out of pocket.

I was able to get everything I wanted for late September, at near the times I wanted (only one was a little later than I asked for).

Like others have noted, you have 16 TS credits listed here. You need to figure out how many nights you will be there and if you have enough TS credits for everything listed. If you don't have enough credits you need to figure out what you are willing to pay OOP for. This is an excellent list of places to eat. We will be there later this month and on the DDP for 12 nights, we added 2 Signature restraurants (Narcossee and YSH), but plan to pay OOP for the 50s Prime Time and Cape May (plus we have the DDE card discount too). You need to think along these lines of strategy.

I feel your pain with the newbies. Some friends of ours are going for the first time and they really don't get it even thought I have gone in great detail on everything.

After handling everything from the room, to dinning to cheap airfare. ( and they wanted the cheap prices, believe me.) The the wife started saying things like, "Our flight is not too early is it?" and " I am not sure about dinner that night". I told my friend that it was a pleasure to get you set up, but for any changes you are on your own!" :sad2:

( Of course, I probably will continue to do it for them.) :grouphug:
