First of all, I am so sorry to be flooding this message board with questions! I apologize profusely and I hope no one is super annoyed.

Just a quick question,

Do you get more time options if you speak to an agent on the phone? It seems to me like if you book online, you get seating options in larger time increments, ie for breakfast at Akershus, you'll have options of maybe 10:30am, 10:45am, 11:00 am. But I've read here that many people get reservations everywhere in Disney for seating times like 10:55, 11:05, etc. and those times don't seem to show up on the website.

Personally, I find making ADR easier online, but that's because you don't have to spend as much time. Theoretically, the times available via the phone or online are the same, so it shouldn't matter.

When you make an ADR online, you can either select a meal (e.g., Breakfast, lunch or dinner) or a specific time. If you select a specific time, the online system will do its best to find that time or times close to it (e.g., if you choose 11:30, but only 11:25 is available, it will give you 11:25 as an option). Try putting in a specific time and see if you can get your ADR closer to whatever time you want.

oh, I agree, I think it's much easier to do it online too, but I have been experimenting with all different restaurants and times (and putting in specific times) but I can never get those odd times. They just don't show up. You know, the 10:05, the 10:55, the 7:55 etc, and so many people here seem to have those ADR's, I'm wondering how they got them?

Well, my other guess is that the system starts with the "round" times (15 minute intervals) and then starts filling in the 5 minute increments as things fill up. I've not really played around with it much because I've usually seen the 10:05 type times.

Yes, folks on the phone get more options. My friend works in the call center. Granted, it's not like there are tons more slots open, but yes, phone ressies get more options.
