Reservations & ADRS Question

I origanally booked out trip June 10 -17th but saw the Fun and Sun discount Disney has good thru June 10th. I booked origanal trip myself. Today i reached out to a travel agent to get a quote with the discount compared to the military discount being offered. I don't have time to call and check if a couple resorts were available. So TA came back with a few options. Decided to book Beach Club as our original reservation is there. Question, I linked the trip the TA reservation and my reservation on My Disney. Will I have any trouble canceling original reservstion? I tried booking ADR today but kept getting an error. Is this due to a deposit hasnt been made yet or system error. I plan to call agent tomorriw to give her credit card number for reservstion. I want to make sure I can get the same reservations I already made. Seems all are available except OHana for dinner. It's available but not till 8:45pm. This is one dinner I dont want to miss. Thinking of booking this, sleeping in and taking a relaxing day. If you use a travel agent do they check if they can get you a better time? Also what else do TAs do? Thanks for any suggestions. Can not wait to go. Last time we went was over 7 years ago, kids were 15 months, 4yo and 9yo. Now they will be 8yo, 11yo and 16yo. want this to be a truely magical experience.

Probably a system error. Even without a resort reservation, you should be able to make ADRs for June 10 and 11 today, as anyone can make 180 day ADRs even without a reservation.

I want to make sure I can get the same reservations I already made.

ADRs are not linked to resort reservations save how many days you can book at a crack. If you already have the ADRs, they are still yours and will not go poof.

Depends on the agent. However, if you already have the ADR... it's already booked.

Your resort reservation and your ADR reservations aren't linked. If you have already made ADR's DO NOT CANCEL THEM! It doesn't matter if you change resorts or reservation numbers. Your ADR's will remain intact.

Isn't the second reservation for a week earlier?
OP, if that is the case then yes you need to cancel the ADR's for the first week or you could be charged the No Show fee.

Thanks all. Unfortunetly I went to book my ADR this morning for the week earlier and mostly all I found was dinner between 9pm and 10pm. so going to have to cancel 2nd reservation for week prior to original. I'm bummed as really wanted to go week earlier, but I cant ask my kids to eat dinner every night at 9pm or later. Thankfully have not cancelled original ADR yet.
