Reservation Wanted Looking for a reservation 4/1 --4/7 09 PLEASE HELP

Hi--
Am new to this but have heard good things! I'd like to stay at a DVC location for the above dates for 3 adults and 2 children. If you have/know of availability for this time and a location then please contact me. Also I need some education as to how the points work.

Hi,

Renting points/reservations is a great way to try out DVC! Have you stayed at a DVC resort w/anyone before?

Do you have a preference for a particular resort? I can check on availability the when Member Services re-opens, but my guess is that your best bet for those dates will be Saratoga Springs Resort (SSR) or Old Key West (OKW). If there is another resort that you'd prefer, I could definitely check on that, too!

For 3 adults and 2 kids, you'd probably want a 2 bedroom. That's a peak week (called "Premier") so that's when the points (and regular rates) are the highest. Checking in on 4/1 and checking out on 4/7 in a 2 BR at Saratoga Springs would be 364 points. Friday nights and Saturday nights take a lot more points than Sun - Thurs nights.

At OKW, in a 2 BR it would be 356 points. If you wanted to book a Sun - Thurs (checkout fri) stay, that would be 245 points at OKW. (When I go, I usually rent a regular room for Fri and Sat nights and check-in to DVC on a Sun. Most people on the boards charge a per point fee. It usually works out to around half the cost of what you'd pay in cash if reserving as a "cash" customer directly through Disney. I rent mine for $10 pp (negotiable) and I could book a 4 night stay (~245 points), although I couldn't do the full 6 night stay.

I just checked and the "cash" price for OKW or SSR for those nights in a 2 BR is $5,434. Expensive week!!

It is an expensive week! We are thinking that we'd like the following if you can help:

date change 4/4 to 4/8 and checkout 4/9
2 bedroom at OKW-- point cost 245 from what I saw.
