Hello Groulx Family, welcome to the Dis boards!
You're question is difficult to answer because all of the resorts are awesome. It really depends on your personal tastes and preferences. The Pros for each resort are endless and the cons for each are few. A little of interent research whether here on the boards or elsewhere will give you a good flavor for each of the resorts.
Once you decide which resort you like better, then you have to decide on a one-bedroom or a studio. The big advantage to the one-bedroom is the extra space, a full kitchen, a king bed in the master with jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower, and a washer/dryer in the room (like a very nice one-bedroom apartment). The studio is like a normal hotel room although it does have a mini fridge and small bar area. A one-bedroom is about twice as many points for a stay as compared to a studio.
As an example, a one-bedroom at Wilderness Lodge for 7-13 Nov is 167 pts while a studio is 83 points.
Just as additional info, most folks on the board ask for $10/pt for renting points. This will save your about 25-40% off Disney rack rates for the same room. October to November are very popular months for
DVC members, and rooms book pretty fast.
If you are interested in either the Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge, I have points avilable for November. Just shoot me an email,
