Reservation using Developer Points

I just made reservations using my Developer Points. This is the first time using such. CM told me she had to fill out paperwork and submit the reservation before I can get a confirmation number. How long does this usually take?

I made a reservation the Saturday before New Years and got the confirmation on the 11th. They said it normally takes 1 week, but when I checked on it after a week they were running behind about a week.

They were running over a week behind last summer when I used developer's points. I think that it took 3-4 weeks to get the confirmation.

I was told today 14 business days. Another CM told me 6 to 8 weeks for later reservations...why don't they just let us make reservations on the internet?

it took about 3 weeks to get the confirmation. Also remember that when you call to check your res make sure that you tell them that you used vacation pts becuase it won't be in the same spot as your normal reservations are.

Me too. I did call MS and they gave me a res#. Still no letter.

Well by the responses so far, folks have been luckier with turn around time than I was. I added on to AKV in August, made my developer point reservation directly after and didn't get the confirmation until the end of October

Member services called me yesterday with my confirmation numbers. The lady I spoke to told me they have at least 500 requests on paper in a box and only 2 of them working on them. She was very nice. My reservation was 2 weeks old. She only called because there was a question about all the details involved. She was nice enough to send me emails with the confirmation numbers the same day.

I guess that explains why I haven't got my email confirmation yet, I called on the 2nd January to make the reservation and the points were taken from my account on the 15th but no email.

Well, I still have not received my confirmation yet. I know I am in the system because I had to make a change on one of my resort requests. Guess I have to have patience.

Like you, I made my reservation on January 2nd but am still waiting for the confirmation. I spoke to Member Services last night and they gave me the reservation number over the phone. Alternatively if you have also used some of your normal points you should be able to see the points transferred out on your activity statement on dvcmember.com which is an indication that they have processed the paperwork.
