Reservation Transfer Question

We decided a little to late to go the week of Thanksgiving. All the campsites are booked up. Our friends who currently have a campsite reserved are not going to use it. We don't want to risk it with them canceling and us trying to get it right away over the phone. Can we just have them remove all of the names from their reservation except for the primary person and add one of us and make us a primary on the reservation as well? Then remove them, and us keep the reservation? We will just pay them cash for the deposit and once we have the reservation, we will pay the remaining amount when we arrive and take their card out of the reservation altogether.

All names can be removed with the exception of the lead name (the person who made the reservation. The reservation remains under their control until check in. They would have to call Disney and handle to removal of the other names and add yours. Their deposit and any other payments that they made would not be refunded. If they already linked the reservation in MDE, they would have to add everyone in your family as "friends" and send invitations thru MDE so that you will be able to see the reservation in your own MDE and make any FP+ at 60 days for your party.
