Reservation Review and Recommendations?

Arriving at midnight on April 13th with my wife and 10 year old daughter. My dining plans are as follows but I still need a little help.have included my dining plans, but still need a little help. We will stay at WL for 3 nights followed by 6 nights at OKW. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. This will be my daughters first trip to Disney World.

Friday: 11:00am- Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
7:15pm-Hoop Dee Doo Review(better for final night?)

Saturday: 7:00 pm- Whispering Canyon
Sunday: 7:30 pm- Rose & Crown
Monday: 7:20 pm- Le Cellier
Tuesday: 6:30 pm- Ohana's
Wednesday: 10:20 am- CRT (worth the new prices?)
Dinner: ????
Thursday: 11:40 am- Sci-Fi
6:00 pm- Brown Derby Fantasmic Dinner Package (worth it?)
Friday: ?????????????????

If you decide that CRT is NOT worth it (I don't know, we've never been), and you'll be in MK that day, how about Liberty Tree Tavern for the character dinner. We enjoyed the food (the desserts are huge!).

Also, are you planning on Olivia's over at OKW? It's not a character meal or anything, but after a long day at the parks, it's always nice to go to a restaurant right at your resort. Can't be the commute back to your room!

I would suggest Boma for breakfast or dinner, we love it! We didn't care for ohana's, but that was us. Le Cellier is excellent! Have fun!

I love the restaurants at Disney and I am always tempted to try to squeeze in a lot more restaurants than I should. For example, I find for our family the most we want to eat at a table service restaurant is one meal. We do a table service dinner each night and that is it, the rest is counter service or back in our villa. We are DVC members and we always utilize the kitchen, since you are staying at Old Key West (one of my favorites!) you will at least have a kitchenette which will be good for breakfasts and sandwiches.

Oh definitely try the Garden Grill at Epcot. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the character interaction was great! I'd skip Liberty Tree. Although the character interaction was good, the food wasn't.

I'd keep CRT and do it for the experience. It really is one-of-a-kind. Our DS and DD like Biergarten in Germany. And we did the Fantasmic package with Mama Melrose and loved the food. MM has become one of our favorites. Love the Sci Fi. and it's good you are planning one sit down a day. There are excellent counter services among each park that will satisfy that lunch hunger. Pecos Bill and the el pirata y el perico across from POTC are both great in MK. Toy Story Pizza Planet and backlot express (next to Indiana Jones) are good in MGM. In AK we do Rainforest Cafe and Tusker House. If you are up to one more sitdown in MK, the Crystal Palace has a wonderful Pooh and friends rotation. It won't be long before your daughter outgrows the character meals, so I say take advantage while you can.

Also, we are thinking of getting tickets to Cirque de Soleil...where would you eat before the show?

Before Cirque...try Fultons or Portobello! If you decide not to go to Cirque, I would as another poster suggested go to Olivia's it's in OKW and the food and service is excellent!

Have a magical trip! (PS...we just took my 83 year old DMIL for her first ever trip to WDW, and I found a "My first trip to WDW" pin....she wore it all week!!!)

Love your choices - looks quite similar to our Christmas '05 trip. We did CRT dinner and loved the food and some very creative desserts. We were on the dining plan so money was not an object. My family has eaten at Moma Melrosa's and the Hollywood and Vine at MGM... we were not crazy over either restaurant...I would try the Brown Derby. Rain Forest Cafe at DD is also a family favorite. I would like to know what you think of the Rose and Crown, it looks nice.

Great choices very similar to our last trip 12/05. Just a couple of comments: We thought CP was slightly better than CM. Nicer atmosphere, food about the same.
For your open nights have you considered Boma, Jiko, Cape May or Teppanyacki and don't count out the restaurants in the Swan & Dolphin.

We've done CRT every trip and it was nice but not worth the new prices. I would suggest changing it to Princess Storybook Breakfast in Epcot or doing the Cinderella's Gala Feast at the Grand Floridian. Last night dinner I would suggest Liberty Tree Tavern. Hollywood Brown Derby is definitely worth it for the Fantasmic Dinner Package. One of our other favorite restaurants is Kona Cafe (great desserts!).
