Do you have to make a reservation for character breakfasts at say Ohana or CM? I'm going for the first time in October with my DH and DS who will be two. Have I waited too late to get a reservation if I need one?

You definitely need reservations! You might be a little late, but you might not be. You have to call Disney Dining and find out when/if there are openings at both of those restaurants.

Good luck! :wizard:

Hmmm I would call ASAP and see what they have available... the breakfast are the ones that book up quick especially chef Mickeys. Good luck I hope you can get what you want!

Here is the number.

1 407 wdw dine

We are going the beginning of Oct, the 1st to the 8th... and I made my ADRs in May, one for breakfast at chef mickeys and they only had a couple openings so I hope you can get it.

Reservations are highly recommended for meals such as character breakfasts. Check out info in books or online regarding this and you will see it for yourself.

You could try to make reservations at this point, it is worth the try, but you may have a hard time doing so. If there is any availability, you may not have too many left to pick from.:confused3

Good luck! 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch is awesome by the way! :thumbsup2

They are not required, but the likelihood of getting in without one is slight.

Ok, I am so bummed I didn't start reading these boards sooner. :sad1: I guess all I can do is try. Thanks for the tips and the number. I'll try and see what happens.

If you desperately want one, call every day. You never know if someone else may cancel and an opening could appear. Good Luck!

call first thing in the morning! Good Luck!

If you aren't able to get a reservation, go to Ohana's on the morning you want to eat and see - they do keep some spots open for walk ups - at least in the evenings they do....

KEEP TRYING. Even when you get to WDW try again. Hopefully something will open up for you!

we are trying for CM for our 5 days too either BF or dinner, that is the one restaurant my kids really want and the only one not available. I have been calling since June as we rebooked our trip dates. I will probably call in the last week before as hopefully people who make changes will actually cancel there reservations instead of no-shows. Our last time in WDW we were surprised at how many CM in restaurants said that no shows are common.
Keep trying.,

I just made our ressies for our trip in November and was told that I got one of the last times for breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Sorry to be a downer, but keep trying. Oh, and try when you get to your resort too. Our resort conceirge was able to get us some reservations last year while we were on sight.

If you like Pooh, CP usually has times available. At least they did last year when I made our reservations last minute. It was our first trip too. If you can't get into CM's and really want a character meal with Mickey, try Garden Grill at Epcot. Unfortunately they are only offering dinner now, but it was great when we went last year!

Good luck and keep trying!:goodvibes

I called yesterday and a couple of days ago and was able to book my ressies. I got Ohanas character breakfast and Bomas. I'm thinking of making one for Crystal Palace too but I haven't decided. Thanks guys for putting a fire under me :) I can't wait to go!

Glad you were able to get a ressie! Crystal Palace is our absolute favorite breakfast, but they also serve lunc and dinner.
