Reservation question

Hi,
I am new to DVC my "home" is at the BWV's. I want to get a 2 bdrm on my next stay in 05 and come up 20 pts short. I do not want to borrow from 06. I was thinking of renting the 20 pts from a DVC member who could just put the points into my account. When booking the reservation @ the 11 month window do those 20 pts need to already be in the account to book the full stay??? or can I add them later??

They need to be in your account at the time you make the reservation but just borrowing the 20 points from 06 will be A LOT easier.

What about two studios on one of the nights if it is over a weekend to save points or looking at standard view?

How about trying to get one of your weekend nights on cash? I have Sunday to Thursday at OKW in May on points (20 per night), I booked Friday night with an AP rate. It was $301 with tax (1 bedroom), the points would have been 48, so that comes to about $6.27 per point. Rack rate would have been $429, about $9 per point, still cheaper than the going $10 per point for renting.
