When I book my home resort I can book 11 months plus a week. If I book a non home resort at 7 months does it work the same way that I book the first day exactly 7 months ahead plus I can book a week from there?

Yes. Booking work the same at both the 11 and 7 month windows.

I used the "Modify" resort function on the member website twice this week for the first time to modify reservations booked at 11 months to a 7 month out selection. Was quite pleased with the ability to do the modification on line, easy to use, saves an hour of waiting till 9AM when others have booked on line at 8aM. Successful! Was able to book a 1BR BWV Standard for a few nights; Have to believe if I waited till 9AM that category would not have been available.Hope you get your desired reservation!
