Reservation Question

Hello all. Planning a trip to the kingdom (yeah!) and I have a quick question about room booking. If I book a room using a special offer and in the future have to drop a day, will the daily cost of the room stay the same or will I be forced to rebook at the current price? Thanks in advance for any help.

It would depend on the specifics of the offer. Make sure you read the fine print and/or find out if there are any penalties for changing.

I just had to do this. I dropped a few days but had to book a pool view at a higher cost becuase that is all that was left in the inventory. WEll, I could have booked CL, but I am too cheap this time around.

So...book what you want, but beware that the changes you may want to make in the future may not fall under the discount.

The other option would be to book the day that you are not sure about as a separate reservation. That way, all you would have to do is cancel that day, while leaving the balance of your days intact, guaranteeing your original room rate/type of room. The one drawback, however, is that you will have to make two room deposits upfront (assuming you are booking RO). Normally, if you request to stay in the same room, when going from one confirmation number to the next, the room assigners will do their best to accommodate you.

Modifying an existing reservation by dropping nights used to be easy, but Disney has changed that policy. In order to drop a night, the new nights must be available as if it were a new booking. If the shorter stay is available under the discount, your existing reservation can be modified keeping the discount; however, if the shorter stay isn't available under the discount, you won't be able to modify without losing the discount.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. I know a lot has change sine I went last so I will definitely read the fine print. Shoreward I think your idea is great and would probably be the safest way for us to go.
