we are looking to book BWV in March with points. Since it is not our home resort, should we book at our home resort and ask to be put on a waiting list? do you have a better chance on getting your request if you do it that way? we really don't want to stay in our home resort so don't want to get stuck with that booking. should we just wait until August to try booking BWV then? Thanks!

If you book your home resort, you would not be able to get on a wait list for a non-home resort until the 7 month window opens. Many members will book their home resort even if they don't plan on staying there. They do so just to make sure they have a room if the other resort happens to be full when the booking window opens.

Definitely book what you can get then try to move at 7 months or wait list.

You don't want to find yourself with nothing.

If you don't get the BWV in March, what will you do? Did you want to forgo the trip? Then don't book your home resort. If you still want to go and wouldn't mind staying in your home resort instead, then book your home resort. But if you don't book your home and you are unable to get anything else (you are looking at Spring Break and Easter), you won't have anything at all. Would that be okay?

You can't waitlist anything besides your home resort until 7 months out.
