Reservation Question

We are going down with another family, and we want to make reservations for HDDR together. We will all be on the dining plan, but we have separate reservation numbers. Can I make reservations for all nine of us online without having to pay, or will I have to call for this reservation? I know I can make an online reservation for a party of nine, but I do not want my credit card to be charged for the meals. We have a Grand Gathering number, but our reservation numbers are different.

If we both separately made our reservations online, could I then call and have them connected so we can sit together? Just trying to figure out the best way to do this.

In my experience I would call and at the same time the other party would call. For me it just made life easier. I took care of mine and my bro took care of his family.
Now when we got there we ask if they could put our tables near each other. Also I got there a little earlier so I can ask. For this you don't want to show up last minute.

We wanted to be seated all together as we are celebrating a birthday. Does anyone have experience with this?
