I made a resevation from universal's site for an off-site hotel+park tickets+citywalk pass, you know, the vacation package. Well, I was wondering, when we paid, did the cost cover the hotel too or will we end up having to pay more at the hotel? Thanks

What did you pay and how long is your trip?

For two people? 2 nights 3 days? Off site, that sounds right. Did you print out the confirmation? It should list exactly whats included. At the least you have a reservation #, you can call and get the details.

Was it Universal Vacations website? That would include hotel.

If you're driving - you'll pay $10.00 per day to park plus a ".65 parking tax." Other than that, everything should be itemized on your itinenary.

Yes, but if you drove to the resort like we did, you'll be hit up for $10.65 total each day while you're there. If you flew to Orlando and took a shuttle to the resort, you won't be charged.

If you are staying at Universal resorts the parking is not free?

In Disney it is free and even if you are staying inside you could drive to the parks at no extra cost

The OP said the package was for an off-site hotel so that parking fee doesnt apply.

It wasnt directed at you. It was info for the OP. The answer to your question is obvious, I thought sure it must be rhetorical.

We stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort and had to pay $10.00 per day for parking plus a .65 parking tax per day. At check-in, the attendant asked me if we were using "self-parking" or valet parking, and I responded self. So I paid to park. I guess if one doesn't want to be honest, one could possibly park for free because once you go through the guard house, you are given a parking pass. However, I am an honest person and could not do it. Plus, out of a thousand who would do it and get by with it, with my luck I would be the ONE they caught! Honesty is always best. Another poster suggested that they just increase the room costs to cover the parking so no one would know. The more I think about that, the bette that sounds. Ten bucks more a night on the room charge sounds better than ten bucks a day to park my car! But hey, it is a resort so there are increased costs everywhere. My God, a bowl of OATMEAL was $6.75! So ten bucks to park is a deal. LOL :rotfl2:

^^ What about if you stay a couple of days and won't move the car until you check-out. Do they add $10 per day to your hotel bill?

It is not fair because the main parking buildings are free after 4 or 6 pm
