reservation question-help needed

myself, dd, and her boyfriend are considering going to disney if free dining comes out. my dilemma is this-my sister, her boyfriend and their kids are thinking about going with us. my aunt and grandmother might go with us as well. they are unsure of their financial situation until about may. if i book a room for the 3 of us, can i add additional rooms/people on to my reservation with the free dining offer later?

You can as long as the offer booking dates is still in effect and if there are still rooms available at your resort for the offer. If the offer is expired you are out of luck.

This is correct. However, I wanted to add that depending on when you would go, if May is still 45 days or more out from your arrival, you could book the free dining rooms for everybody and the others can cancel without penalty if they see they can't go. It would require a $200 deposit for each room booked, but that would be fully refundable if the package was cancelled 45 days or more prior to arrival.

Always book and deposit a reservation for the people who may go, and then cancel later.

Occupancy levels apply for hotel rooms, and you will not be able to put all of those people on your one resort reservation. They will need their own reservations.

When the lead guest (first one on the res) changes, the reservation cancels.

So your first person named on the reservation must be the one who goes on the trip.
