Reservation number change

I just got an email from our DVC rental broker that our reservation number has changed. When I looked at our reservation in MDE, it shows the new number but everything else is the same. Why might this happen?

Perhaps relevant is that when I looked at our magic band order a couple of days ago, it showed them as declined. No big deal, as I still had time to change it back, along with some last minute color and name change. Though that could have been a real letdown if I hadn't been on top of it.

May have been an error by MS or a point change by the owner. As long as the reservation is there in your name and your agreement uses the correct reservation number you should be okay.

There was a time a couple of years ago that MS was doing some things which meant changes to reservation numbers - and the owners only found out by chance! One never knows why some things happen but it might not have even been anything initiated by the owner.
