Reservation for 3 for 2

I've been looking for an ADR for Via Napoli for DH and I and have only found one for 3 people. If I reserve it will we be charged a cancellation fee if only 2 people show up?

You should not be charged a cancellation fee if only 2 show up. I've always been told if any part of the party shows up you won't be charged. We have had people sit out last minute (adults not kids) due to many different reasons and have never been charged as long as 1 person shows up to eat.

Nope. There are only 2 of us too. I can never find ADRs for 2 at Tutto Italia or Via Napoli. And we eat at one or the other every trip (so we go at least twice a year). I always just book for 3, then just say there will only be 2 of us when I check in. No problems at all.

No idea why they don't have ADRs for 2. But it certainly is aggravating!

Almost certainly not. DW and I visited DS last year when he was in the CP (how's that for an acronym-laded sentence? ). We booked ADRs for 3, but there were times when he was working and couldn't join us. When we checked in we told them we were 2 instead of 3 and it was no problem.
