Im a teenager here ???? i dont know if u know this but Teenagers want there way alot of the time;)

Ok wait a minute are you really a teenager do you happen to be the 13yr old nephew, I am a bit confused, Who is the one that is responsible for the payment of the trip and making the ADR's I don’t think I would leave that up to a teenager to do unless that teenager is really responsible, well whatever l will leave you with this food for thought its not all about the things you want, its about all the things you want to give!:)

IF i dont get my money's worth for the Free dining ...

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It's a joke, right?

Sorry for the lack of sympathy, but my friend added her aunt to our upcoming trip, during which we're paying for deluxe dining, and we couldn't get her added to all the ADRs. We'll try walking up & see what happens, but won't expect to be seated. Why, you ask? Because we didn't reserve it and are thus not entitled to it. Good luck with your attitude, and have a nice trip.

FWIW, even when I travel solo, I book ADRs for two people just in case someone wants to join me for the trip or for a meal.

Yea that makes perfect sense

Well lets say if i payed for The dining ??? i should get good service right?? OH but since its free i should not get the same service as someone who paid??
Yea OK

Did you even read what I wrote? Even though we're paying for dining, we couldn't add our extra guest to the ADR either. Same deal, free or paid. The difference is that I don't think Disney owes me a larger table even though I am actually paying. What I found funny was the idea of "getting your money's worth" for something that you're not paying for.

Service is not the topic, nor is it the fact that you have free dining, The majority of people who are going to WDW during the Free dining have the Free dining promotion, some may have chosen to pay the difference from the Free dining to the deluxe, the previous poster is a perfect example who realizes that they may accommodate the extra person and they may not, which you need to realize it to. I tell you what I will give you this example sense your a teenager

You and your friend have reserved two movie tickets or 2 tickets to your favorite bands concert, at the last minute your other bff says hey I want to go to, so you call to get an extra ticket but they are sold out, they tell you that there is another movie and another band that all of you can see but it turns out your not interested in the movie or band that they have room for 3, so you say to your other bff that doesn’t have tickets, you say hey dude just come with us we will see if we can get you in so you keep your hands crossed that when we get there that someone didnt show up at the concert for what ever reason or you, wait until someone passes out from catching one of the bands sweaty t-shirts which could take hours for this to happen if it happens at all. really whose fault would it be if you miss the concert or movie?

In March four of us walked up at Brown Derby and asked for a table. We had no ressies. No line outside and half empty restaurant and we were turned away. They did call and get us into Prime Time and we loved it. This time have made all my ressies online. Dining is the MOST annoying part of this whole trip imo.

it's not a matter of whether or not other guests get angry or whether or not you care. Simply keep in mind that if you show up with 3 instead of 2, and the adr is for 2, and no 4-top tables are available without bumping the entire list of incoming 4-top adrs, they have zero obligation to seat you. They can, and in many cases have, told guests that they will not accommodate them -- every ts has the right and ability to do this. You may get lucky, but keep trying online to do it the legitimate way so as to avoid any disappointment on game day.

ita!

OP, first I think you should keep trying... even though there's only a few days left.

If you can't find anything... go to concierge at your resort at 7AM that morning to see if anything is available.

Or... just show up and see if it's ok. If so then great! But if not, don't be mad since it isn't the restaurants fault you added a person and cannot accomadate the extra person. I feel like niceness always pays off so go up with a smile and without any demands. I work in the restaurant business and I can choose to award someone or not give them anything in quite a few situations... I most certainly would never give someone anything with a rotten attitude.

Good luck Alex!

DANGER WILL ROBINSON

1) Disney is wise to the "the added guest decided to go at the last moment".
2) People can't get enough ADR's so extra folks decide to come at the last minute.
3) There have been team meetings to put a halt to this.
4) If there is room, the eatery will not turn you away, as they want the revenue.
5) If they are booked, then they will turn away the added people.

NOTE1: There have been a lot of complaints from folks who had a family member end up not getting into the restaurant, but too bad. Before DDP, there usually was enough room to put in a extra person or two. Now, eateries are being fully booked. Unless you find a Concierge with a dining override code, they can't just throw in extra people.

NOTE2: And, yes, many eateries (like CRT and Le Cellier) do have tables for 2-or-3, so adding an extra person is not just a case of pulling up another chair.

Why did you wait 3 weeks to try and add him to your ADR's. sorry but you messed up not the rest, not the people who made the correct ADR's and should not be inconvenienced because you took your time adding on the 3rd person.

The restaurants have so many seats and if you don't fit you don't fit, the world doesn't owe you even if you think they do. Start looking now for ADR's for 3 and quit trying to blame everybody but yourself.

Really???? i mean do u think if i walk up and say we have another 13 year old joining there going to tell us to leave? IF i dont get my money's worth for the Free dining and we end up eating at Counter service the whole trip im going to:mad::mad::mad::mad: Go insane .

1) Whose fault is it that you couldn't get a table?
2) If you can't get an ADR for extra people, it is not the fault of Disney.
3) DDP specifically says that they do not guarantee a table.
4) And, you already have ADR's, so you do have a table.
5) Besides, they won't make you leave.
6) Just the extra person(s) won't be able to join you.
7) They can wait outside.
8) YOU would still get your money's worth from DDP.

We added my cousin 3 weeks ago and just now we tried to add him on are Dining reservations and now there saying theres no room?? :headache::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: I doubt they have 2 person only tables and chef mickey's crystal palace, 50's prime time, and yak and yeti!!!

This is actually a very funny statement....your "money's worth" for FREE dining?

If you aren't paying any money for dining, getting free PB&J sandwiches every day is your "money's worth".

Believe me, unless you say so nobody knows if you got the dining plan free or if you paid for it. While a lot of guests during this time probably have it free, there are plenty of folks who paid for it (DVC members or guests who chose a room discount over the free dining discount and decided to pay for a dining plan). So nobody's going to treat you badly out of some personal animosity just because you are on free dining.

Best approach is for you and your family is to try as much as possible to change the reservations to accommodate three persons. If you can't, go to the restaurant and politely ask if your cousin can also be accommodated. Getting upset, screaming and yelling will probably not help at that point. Anyone who needs to add an extra person this late in the game for free dining, especially going from an even-numbered party to an odd-numbered one, is in the same position. If you can't get him in, you'll need to go eat elsewhere, but it might be possible.

Im a teenager here ???? i dont know if u know this but Teenagers want there way alot of the time

Then they learn the philosophy so aptly described by Mick Jagger: "You can't always get what you want."

In a way, I can feel the OP's pain. I miss the days when, as a local, I could call and get an ADR same day for dinner that evening at pretty much any restaurant I chose. I know a lot of people who don't have the luxury of being able to plan vacations more than a month or so in advance because their job won't let them - and by then it can be difficult to get the ADR's you want. But having a negative, entitlement attitude won't help your cause.

It's not Disney's fault if we can't get the reservation we want, on the day we want, at the restaurant we want, and for the party size we want. They have a limited number of "seats" available at each restaurant each day. When those are gone, they're gone. It's no different than if you suddenly needed two hotel rooms instead of one and the hotel was fully booked. They can't just make another table appear out of thin air. Both sides have to work with what is.

If I were in the OP's shoes, I would be spending a lot of time checking the online dining availability and booking ADR's for three people. As I booked the three person ADR, then I would call and cancel the two person ADR. Little by little, you may be able to get a lot of the restaurants you want, but you may have to go at a different time, on a different day, or do lunch vs. dinner, etc. By doing the looking online, you aren't spending a ton of time on the phone going nowhere - which is very frustrating. It's necessary to be a lot more flexible when making what amounts to last minute changes. Good luck!
