Reservation changes....

Can't believe I don't know the answer to this but I know most of you will
We are taking my in laws to Disney and would need a 2 BR, but they're not sure if they are going to stay the whole week with us. My family would switch to a studio to save on points if they won't stay the whole week. So,i figured I would reserve a 2 BR for the whole week in case. My question is if they decide to only stay 4 days will I have a chance of losing the 2BR when changing the last 3 nights over to a studio??

To drop days from your reservation, you'll need to call MS. Then get them to add the studio nights. Unless you get a lockoff two bedroom and request to stay in the studio portion, you will definitely have to move. Even with the request, you might still have to move out completely.

Thanks for your response! I realized I didn't word it properly....I meant is there a chance I could lose the whole reservation when changing the last 3 nights to a studio from the 2BR. thanks

Do you have enough points to book the 3 nights in a studio before you drop the 3 nights from the 2 bedroom? If yes, do it that way. If not, there's a small chance you could lose the studio between the time they cancel the 3 nights of the 2 bedroom and book the studio. You can't lose the 2 bedroom in the process of dropping the nights.

I don't think you'll be able to split a portion of the reservation and change it's size both. I believe you'll need to reserve separately in some way.
