Originally we had another couple who had planned to accompany us on our October trip to WDW (discussed in my first thread). Recently they had some illness in the family (touchy subject) and had to cancel their reservations with the Walt Disney Travel Company today. The CM informed them that they would get a refund for what they had paid, less the travel insurance amount, and that it would be posted to their credit card used for the original purchase. They asked me (why they didn't ask the CM I don't know) how long I thought that process would take, and I'm completely unsure, have never canceled before.
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing, or even if not have an answer? The medical bills they are suffering as a result of the above mentioned illness are crippling them financially and they'd like to have some idea as to when to expect the returned credit.
