Reservation at Tusker House at park closing.

I have a 7:55pm reservation on Dec 1 for Tusker House on a day that AK closes (for now) at 8pm. Does anyone have any experience with a character dinner this close to closing? How is the quality and selection of the buffet and character interaction at that time? Do they try to rush you out so they can close?

I'd hate to spend that kind of money for a hastened experience. Thanks!

We ate at TH with an ADR around closing time a few years ago. It was wonderful. The buffet and character meets were handled the same way as ever. We didn’t feel anything different, except maybe the restaurant being less crowded than usual. The highlight was walking through the empty park at our own pace, crossing CM’s coming into work for the evening/night shift, and getting a private ride on a Disney bus back to our resort.
