This was the only reservation I could get even though I booked reasonably far out, so cancelling isn't an option as it's our very favorite Disney restaurant. This means Wishes and the electrical parade are out for this night since it's at 9 and 10, but can I still see the water parade from the beach at the Polynesian before we go in to eat? Any other ideas? We can always go watch Wishes another night, I know, it's just a great way to end the day in the MK. Thanks! We've never eaten there this late.

The nice thing about Ohana is you can watch Wishes from inside :lovestruc:lovestruc They lower the lights and pipe in the music. Enjoy!

With Wishes at 9PM, you'd need to watch from the Ohana waiting area windows.

I have found that later reservation times really get backed up at Ohana. As others have mentioned, people get these later reservations to watch wishes from the restaurant. I hope it works out for you and you get seated reasonably close to that time.

Perhaps arrive early, check in and ask about the expected wait time, and enjoy a spot on the beach for water parade and relaxing (maybe a beverage if that's your thing :) ) and hopefully you'll be seated in time to see wishes from 'Ohana!

Keep checking if you want an earlier time--slots do open up. We eventually got everything we wanted for our trip in May even though it was all booked up when I first started looking.

If you keep the 9:15, I would plan the rest of my meals that day to be late as well, then I'd watch Wishes from the Poly beach and then go to Ohana.

Yeah, the backed up thing is REAL. I had an Ohana reservation at 9:00 back in August. We didn't get seated until 9:55. Very frustrating.

Our reservation in May is at 8:10 on a night when Wishes is at 10. I was hoping it would not be too backed up at that time.

You may likely be somewhat late to be seated.

But, that would not in any way affect your seeing a 10PM Wishes.

I was not planning on being in the restaurant necessarily for Wishes, but I guess if we are late getting seated, we likely will still be there. But DH will get frustrated and leave if the wait extends past about half and hour.

We were seated at 9:55pm for a 9:15pm reservation. They ran out of food. Other food was cold and our waiter was no where to be found. Keep looking for earlier times if you want to have a better experience. We love Ohana. We had eaten at Ohana on another trip earlier and it was wonderful. I think the late timing is what causes the issues.☹️

We've had late ressies at O'Hana twice. The 1st time was on our arrival day at 8:30pm. After only 3 hours sleep and 9 hours driving, I could barely keep my eyes open during dinner. I could have cared less about fireworks at the point! The 2nd time was an 8:00pm ADR. We got there about 7:30, checked in at 7:45.... and didn't get seated until 9:00. My husband was furious - food was cold and there wasn't much of it, waitress was scarce. We had to go find somebody to refill drinks. It was awful. Never again will I schedule dinner there that late.

Keep checking online to see if a cancellation for an earlier time comes up. You can also subscribe to the cancellation thread for your month at the top of the Dining Reservations board. Also, depending on when you are going, 'Ohana has started dinner service at 3:30 so check on the dining reservation page for 'Ohana for your day to see if there are any very early reservations available. Here's the link to the cancellation threads, but be sure to read the rules in the first post:

We had a 8:30pm reservations just a couple of weeks ago. We got our table by 8:50pm and it was awesome. Food was great and we were able to catch Wishes at 10:00pm. No issues with food or drinks.
