What time do you make reservations for the California Grille to be able to see Wishes and if we would like a window seat do you wait longer, therefore make the reservations earlier??? This is for December and a MVMCP will be going on. If I remember correctly, they had Wishes at about 9:45 at the party.

It really isn't that important.
Keep in mind:
~The kitchen shuts down during Wishes, and it takes about 25 minutes before they are completely up and running again, so give yourself time to order and get your food before the fireworks start.
~You are able to get up from your table to watch the fireworks (for most of the restaurant, the view is better if you go outside.)
~Anyone who visits CG primarily for the fireworks view is, imho, missing the point. The food and service are the main attractions, and the opportunity to view the fireworks from that great vantagepoint is simply a bonus.
~Make a seating that is at least 45 minutes prior to scheduled fireworks to ensure that you get your entrees in a timely manner, and have fun.

Thanks SafariSteve, having stayed at the Contemporary quite a bit we've seen the fireworks from up there often, I was just hoping for a nice "special" dinner for DH and myself on our last night there in December. Actually, it's the menu that has kept us from going there. We're pretty much "midwest home cooking" kind of people and the menu was a little "different" for us. But I did notice this time that there was a nice steak on the menu and perhaps we'll even get "daring" and try a few things we've never had. I will try to make it at least 45 minutes before the fireworks. I'm glad you gave it a thumbs up, now that I've decided to eat there, I'm excited about it!!!

IMHO the single best place to watch the MVMCP fireworks is from CA Grill. "From above" really gives you a sense of the perimeter fireworks, as opposed to the "wishes" that just go off behind the castle.

The same goes for NYE and the other occassions for fireworks around the lagoon.

Oh, bridegirl, I had forgotten about the extra fireworks for the party. That should be nice too. Another bonus!!!

Hello
What time are the fireworks in August? I haave PS for 6 pm will we still be there at the right time or should I trya ad change my time.?

Thanks
Rosalind

I'm sure that even a midwesterner can find something to like on the menu. They offer a roasted chicken and the filet (which I had on my last visit) absolutely melts in your mouth. It is served with a light bbq sauce and au gratin potatoes. They also offer some wonderful desserts.
Have fun!
