We are planning to eat at 3 nicer restaurants: Jiko's, California Grill, and Blue Zoo.

1) Which are the least kid friendly? Eg which one would you def do kid's club for?
2) we plan to drop the kids at the kids club for the first restaurant and if they like it/it goes well, we would drop them at kids club for all 3 restaurants. Would you book the restaurants INCLUDING the kids and then cancel the kids if they like kids club or would you book them without the kids and hope to be able to add them if they don't like kids club.

TIA!

Also have you looked at kids night out, it is a great service and they come straight to your room with toys, books, etc... THey can take the kids to the arcades and dining halls as well, just nothing to do with water.

from most likely to need kid sitting to least:

Blue Zoo
Jiko
California Grill

I would make the ADRs to include the kids. If you decide not to bring them, you can just let the restaurant know when you check in.

Don't know about Blue Zoo but my 4 yo has been to Jiko and Cali Grill. I usually make reservation early and find that it's more relax as less couples are there for an evening out and more families are enjoying a meal.

I have dined at bluezoo often and rarely see children there; it's definitely a more adult place than the other two. Jiko is fairly quiet but child friendly and Ca Grill has tons of kids.

We have kids club booked for our bluezoo dinner; you can get complimentary 2 hours at Camp Dolphin if you dine there (one child per adult entree ordered).

Depends on the ages of the kids. When my daughter was 3, she probably would have cared less about eating at bluezoo. But by the time she was 6, it was (and remains) her favorite restaurant at WDW.

I think from a "typical patron" standpoint, bluezoo is the most "adult". So if want to test out the notion of putting the kids in a children's program, I would do as Pakey suggests and try bluezoo first, coupled with Camp Dolphin and its 2 hour grace period.

I would definitely take the kids to Jiko. Its actually pretty casual to me. California Grill, we've taken our DDs as well, and there were a lot of kids there, so I don't think that would be an issue. The only problem with CG is that it is SO slow! Seriously, I was ready to leave more than the kids by the time we were done with dinner. Never been to BlueZoo.
