Out of March, April & May, what would some recommendations be as far as best time to go? Crowd levels? Weather?

Any other pros and cons of this time of year?

Thanks ;)

Spring Breaks can make the parks crowded, especially the week before and week after Easter. If you can avoid the school holidays, then it will be MUCH less crowded! We dont have a choice because our DD's break is right during Easter. We've been before at that time and it was really crowded.

The weather in April the last time we went was ideal. Nice and warm for swimming but not hot. I'm sure it must vary year to year, however.

We went in early March this year for a quick trip to the Poly March 5-8, the crowds were really low. It happened to be a week or so after "winter break" for kids and the week just prior to college spring breaks. It was great! We even got upgraded to concierge level...at the POLY!!!:cool1:

We went for spring break this year and it was packed out, but that didn't damper our fun!! Oh, and neither did the all afternoon soaking we got while at DHS (most attractions are still open so who cares about getting wet:confused3 ). It is really crowded during spring break, but it's all in the attitude and knowing where to be when to not have to wait in lines, which we didn't wait for anything over 30 minutes and that was Soarin'.

No matter when you go, it can be fun if you make it that way so just go with it and have a blast!!!

Our past two trips were in May, around the 17th for our anniversay, 2 and 3 years ago, crowds were very manageable. It is also during the flower show at Epcot, beautiful. Weather was warm but not horrible, actually perfect for swimming and lounging.

What about deals for this time of year? Is there ever anything offered?

I was thinking more towards late april, early may. I would like to avoid spring break. I'll have to do some date researching.:cutie:

I remember one year in May we got a room only rate discount, and the next year (2 years ago) we got an AP rate. Don't remember the time period these covered. You can look at Mousesavers.com and they can give you discount information given in previous years, by but no means a guarantee of what will be offered in the future.

That's the week I want to go next year. DD's b-day is the 18th and our anniversary is the 20th. I'm hoping for weather that is not too insanely hot and crowds that aren't too insanely huge.:confused3 As for deals, that's normally when they do the package upgrades(with a code, of course) to give you the park hopper and Water Parks & more for free. My scheme is to get 10 day tix and pay for the non-expiring option so I can trap DH into several more trips. "But honey, we have to go and use these tickets before the kids get too old.":lmao:

In 2006 I went the first full week in May and it was great. Crowds were moderate, days warm with a nice breeze in the evening. At that point I think there was a deal for free upgrade to PH, waterparks and more. Sometimes there are AP deals if you have one, sometimes package and sometimes room only. You really just have to watch these boards and mousesavers to know.

We went April 12th - 26th this year and we found the crowds to be very manageable. I was expecting the worst, as I'd read on here that it was going to be packed out, but once arriving, we found it wasn't hard to manage at all.

I'd just check the Easter holidays for the March/April when you're looking to visit, best to try and miss this week completely, unless it's unavoidable, in which case a little more planning will be needed.

We went in May to celebrate our anniversary. The crowds, for Disney, were by no means huge. In fact, I remember riding Splash Mountain, our favorite ride 4 times in a row, in the late morning, because there really was no wait time.

The year we bought the AP I convinced my DH we had to go 2 times to get our monies worth. Worked like a charm. I'm hoping for bounceback when we go this September, because I can never turn down a Disney Bargin. There is always a method to my madness;) .

Last year we got there at the tail end of spring break and I didn't think the crowds were bad at all. We followed the touring plans and zigged instead of zagging and the only waits we had were for PP and Dumbo. Since I was a newbie, we paid rack rates....:( I'm so glad I found the DIS!!! :thumbsup2

Check out this web site.

He actually ranks the week to go in 2009 by 1.) Crowds and 2.) prices.

Just don't go the week before or after Easter. Way to crowded.
