I am in the planning stage of the planning stage and need help finding information about Disneyland. I have been to WDW several times and know a lot about the parks and resorts there, but know just about nothing when it comes to Disneyland. Were can I find the best and most accurate information? I have learned of a lot of great sites that deal with WDW that have excellent info and I have always found them to be very accurate. I would love to find some sites like that for DL. Can anyone help me?

Also what would be the best guide book to get for DL?

<font color=navy>For the best guide book, try Bob Sehlinger's Unofficial Guide.

I know someone who used it recently, and they were able to see a lot more than some other friends who were just winging it on their own. :)

I like to buy one of the guide books, my favorite was the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland and Southern California with Kids, but that's because I have young kids. :) You can also try the Disneyland section at Mouseplanet.com, I like to read the weekly updates. Also, just reading through the posts on this list every once in a while gives a lot of information. There have been a few posts comparing DL to WDW, so you can find a bunch of info on which rides aren't at WDW, which ones are better at DL, and which shows are available that aren't at WDW. I hear that Fantasmic is very different, with no seating. You have to line up hours in advance to get a spot, but you can also get reserved seating at a buffet for $$, I think it's somewhere around $50 a person now.

Thanks for the information and help. We have not decided to go yet, but if we do I am sure it will be the same as planning a trip to WDW. Reading this board and others will become my "hobby" until after we go and then it will be reading them to keep the "magic" alive. :earsboy:

Laughingplace.com is an excellent DL orianted site/board

Its as focused to DL as DIS is to WDW :)
