Usually you can. You have to call to make the change or do it in person at guest services. If the new date costs more than your original date you will need to pay the difference. If the new date costs less you will not be refunded the difference.

To follow up on this, it looks like MDE allowed me to modify the tickets online to the new dates. The tickets now show under my plans for the correct date, but when I look at all of my ticket entitlements, the tickets show the original date there. Does anyone have experience with modifying and does this sound correct? The Disney agent on the phone didn't even seem sure, but she saw it under my plans for the correct date too.
We've moved dates before with no issues. We had booked directly through Disney originally and had loaded into our mde. The other poster was correct in the price difference discrepancies and new date has to be available and not sold out.
I never changed the date myself like you said you did. If it was me, I would call Disney again and hope you get someone who has more experience and knows what they're doing just to be sure you did everything correctly, bc I'm surprised it would let you have the privileges to do that on your own. Just my 2 cents
