I think the economy and what Disney is letting through ROFR is impacting the resale prices right now. When we purchased at SSR back in early 2007, Disney was not letting anything pass below the $82 mark. We paid $84 per point, and we were thrilled to make it through. At times, you'd see some $82 and $83 bought back by Dis.
With that said, people will take chances. Once they do, they post. The people roaming these boards know exactly what is passing/not passing ROFR, and that drives resale prices for the most part. For all resorts, maybe with the exception of BCV, everything is lower than it was when we were buying. We took advantage recently, and purchased 150 points at VB. This was back in the spring of this year, and we got those for $60 a point. I really didn't think it would pass ROFR ($65 was the lowest on the boards at the time), but the sellers accepted our offer, and I thought I would give it a try. Now, I could get those same points for probably $50 - $55 a point. It was still a GREAT deal at the time!
Once Dis raises the prices, it will be interesting to see what happens with resales and ROFR. Personally, I think resale prices will be driven by the ROFR floor. Over time, the expiration date will start to play into things as well. I just don't think it matters as much right now, because 2042 is still a long time away and the majority of people buying in are in their 30s or older.
