Resale vs Direct with Riviera and DLT

Hi all. I know that the new restrictions with resales say that you can't use resale points to book new resorts, including Riviera and DLT. I also know the minimum amount to buy points directly from DVC is smaller for existing owners (25 or 50? for existing vs 150 for new members).

Here's my question... if I buy Aulani resale (150-200 points) now, and add on 50 points direct at DLT once it is for sale, would I be able to use those 50 direct points at Riviera and other future resorts? Even if I don't have the minimum 150 points to be a "blue card" DVC owner? It is the point origin that matters or the status of the member?

DLT is likely in the existing rules, because of the way it has been permitted and advertised.

But we don't know anything about future properties, if there even are any. People act as if they have to be in DVC/BVTC, but they don't have to be. Just like DVC doesn't have to keep giving AP discounts.
