Resale timeline from proud SSR first timers!!

It is official- Robert at TSS notified us that we are the proud owners of 225 pts at SSR!!!

Here is how we went - with financing

11/29/07 saw new listing and offered asking price/ offer accepted
11/30/07 contract received and returned to TSS
12/03/07 to Disney for ROFR
12/11/07 passed ROFR, given an estimated close of 01/28/08
12/27/07 e-mail to TCS to check on status
01/03/08 e-mail to TSS, Robert replied from home that he would check and let me know 01/04/08 which he did, scheduled to close 01/26/08, Disney back-up
01/08/08 Financing documents received and returned, funds able to be disbursed as early as 01/18/08
01/16/08 closing documents received and returned
01/23/08 CLOSED!!!!!! I did call to check that all paperwork was received by TCS and was informed that everything but our check (from bank) had arrived, called bank who verified funds were went 01/18/08, within an hour Robert e-mailed us that we were closed!!!

Now we just have to wait the 7-10 days to get into the system to make our ressies for our first trip home!!!!

We paid $85 ppt and $550 closing. We paid the asking price because it was a loaded contract with the 2007 pts banked - so we are hoping to do two trips this year. One in April to celebrate our 7th anniversary and DD 4th birthday and then make another trip in Oct for MNSSHP!!!

Congrats! What a great price too. I never knew that resales were possible. I will certainly explore that option should we decide to add to our exisiting points with DVC!

No, we didn't pay for expedited - but if that was an option I certainly would have the wait was terrible!!! We can't wait to go home!!! Thanks for all the congrats!!

We closed our resale last October for 200 points at SSR. We have been there twice before with friends who already own and it was a no brainer. I'd like take a look at AKV and maybe add on.
