Resale time frames

Much thanks to MsTessP. Called Member Administration this AM. Got my DVC member number and booked my first DVC reservation! Me and the wife for a late anniversary trip in March to AKV Kidani, savannah view studio. Super excited!

Closed Dec. 1....Still waiting.

My contract was entered Monday and the points were there today (the 20th). Offer accepted October 5th, Points available December 20th = about 10 weeks total.

We FINALLY closed today. They told me it would be about 72 hours before I could book, but from what I am reading on these boards, that is a bit optimistic.

I am so excited!

10/17/2011 Offer made and accepted
10/18/2011 Contract received
10/19/2011 Contract returned by us (buyer)
11/02/2011 Contract returned by seller
11/22/2011 PASSED ROFR
12/21/2011 CONTRACT CLOSED

Approximately two months for this part...now let's see how long it will take to be able to use the points!

11/10 - Contract went to DVC
11/30 - Passed ROFR
12/5 - Received closing documents from title agent
12/5 - Wired money to title agent
12/6 - Provided my signed closing documents to title agent
12/21 - Signed sellers documents received by title company
12/21 - Transaction closed
12/29 9 AM - Name in DVC system, but not points
12/29 2:30 PM - Points in DVC system and first reservation made

You all are great. I am waiting for my sale to go through. Went to Disney for ROFR on December 23. I am hoping to make reservations for 1st week in March and May. Am I wishing for too much?

Mine went to Disney for ROFR on 12/5 and I still haven't heard back yet. Expect the full 30 days to go through ROFR and then it's like another month after that. You probably have about a month and a half (or so) to go until you can book. You should be able to get something as long as you don't need a specific room size or location. Good luck!! Ours also took the full 30 days to hear, 8 weeks total for use of the points.
