Resale Question

A freind of mine put an offer in resale but he has also been working with Disney directly and just decided to go resale. My question is he have a higher chance of Disney exercising ROFR on him because they know his name and think that he may be interested in buying directly?

I seriously doubt that your friend will have any problems passing ROFR SOLELY because he expressed interest to Disney in adding on points. We recently contacted our Guide to see about adding on some AKV points. When he told us the price, I told him we could beat Disney's price by going with a resale contract. Our Guide agreed that resale was cheaper, and opined that Disney would not ROFR a contract at the price we offered ($84/point). 29 days after being sent to Disney, Disney waived ROFR.

In my opinion there is no chance that Disney is going to exercise their ROFR because your friend has contacted Disney. If that is the case would be nice to know his name so we can sell him some properties for much higher than market value so the sellers are very happy since Disney is going to buy them back.

If this was the case all the sellers that have their property listed with The Timeshare Store, Inc.® will be calling their neighbors to call DVC, show an interest in DVC and then buy their property at a higher price. Based on that Disney would buy it back and seller keeps more money. Of course, I like to think here at The Timeshare Store, Inc.® we are doing a good job of selling DVC at the market value but I am sure sellers would jump at the chance to sell for more.
