Resale Question - FOFR

From what I read, figuring this out isn't an exact since, but generally, what price per point does Disney buy back at for BCV, BWV, and for comparison purposes, OKW??

Anyone w/ recent experience???

We just bought into BWV at $70.00 a point with a full year of banked points. (We agreed to pay closing and 2004 maintenance only) I contacted the three main timeshare brokers and told them what I was looking for. I never heard from them but kept checking the sites 2 or 3 times daily. Finally, a 160 point contract with the right terms popped up. When Disney exercises ROFR is anyone's guess. Recently, someone just passed ROFR at BWV at $65.00 per point. (I do not recall that this contract was stripped!)Best of luck!

There seems to be no rhyme or reason at times. It seems to vary with the home resort, number of points and the way the winds blow. I think if you're at or over $72 pp you are pretty set. Under that may or may not get through. I think you can assume anything less than about $68 pp will not get past them but the only risk in trying is having DVC buy it out from under you.

You can do a search and check through some of the recent posts on this board for individual contract details. We got a loaded BWV contract for $70 per, but as momtofour noted, someone recently reported getting through at $65.

One thing that does seem to attract Disney is a lot of concessions on the seller side. If the seller pays closing, discounts for used points, etc., Disney seems to take a closer look. We paid closing and maintenance for 2004 points (but not for points banked.) And while it seemed to take forever, ours slid through in 10 days.

Judging from recent posts, OKW generally seems to get through a few bucks lower than BWV and BCV. Some folks take the higher side per point to guard against the ROFR threat. Just depends how much you want that particular contract, and how you like to play the odds.
