O.K. I currently have a contract waiting on ROFR, one that I think has a decent chance on being bought back based on previous contracts that have been bought back. But still a chance to pass. After hearing about the new procedure for getting add-ons through DVC, I decided to add my name to the list as an insurance policy. Well, I'm sure you can all see where this is going.... This morning I called to make my 11 month window ressies at VWL, all my points are currently there. Well, after completing that transaction, the CM was confirming my point totals and said I had 150 BWV points!!! I said WHAT!!!! Yep, my add-on at BWV came through this morning, through DVC, my card was charged the $500 this morning! The price different is only about $600 for the resale VS DVC with me renting out the 2004 points. I have until the 13th to get out of my resale contract, since you have 10 days from the day you sign it to get out. I also have 15 days from DVC to sign the contracts, or to get out using their outs. What should I do? The contract through DVC is MUCH better, since it's the same use year as my VWL points, and the other one was another use year. I feel bad getting out of either of the contracts, I didn't think I would be in this position. What would you do? If I decided to wait of ROFR, I'll probably have to give up the DVC contract, since I don't know if I would have heard on ROFR by their deadline. Then, I have to get back on the waitlist or look for another contract which would take weeks, and then wait again on ROFR and probably the new resale wouldn't be significantly cheaper due to having to offer more $$$ per point. So, my question to everyone, What would you do?
