Are you eligible for the $500 referral credit if you own resale points but are making your first direct purchase?

We own no points yet and I am trying to math out what a direct purchase would cost us if we became eligible for member pricing after buying a small resale contract, but not sure if the referral would add on top or be disqualified. I assume no lol but wasn't totally sure

Even though that wouldn’t qualify, I noticed many of the current direct promos are running better incentives for current owners than new owners. So it probably still works in your favor but maybe not enough to justify the cost of even a small resale contract.

Yeah, that was my conclusion as well. They basically come out in the wash for the amount of points we're after.
