Resale - did you wait for exactly what you want or settle?

First contract was directly. Then after staying at Hilton head, we decided to add on because we wanted the 11 month home resort advantage. As soon as we got home, we emailed a resale broker, they had a perfect contact with our use year. I think we had to the points in our account less than 2 months from when we decided to add on.

Same here!! We just went to HH this August for the 1st time and are actively looking to add another resale contract for the HH home advantage. Loved it there.

I bought at VWL without staying there but had visited it. The perfect contract, I waited a day too long to put on an offer and somebody else got it. I settle tee fot about 3O points less than I wanted, and use year really didn't matter because we travel all different times. Kind of wish I waited for a bugger contract.

We looked for exactly what we wanted. My problem is I keep looking and seeing more good things LOL

I picked the resort, set a max price, decided on a season for the UY, and target number of points plus/minus 25. Then I waited to get exactly that.

I did not have an exact science to determine UY and number of points, so I went with a range for both.

It shouldn't be difficult for larger resorts to find a great contract relatively speaking but for specialty contracts or smaller and more in demand resorts, it's much tougher. Waiting months for the perfect contract has a cost unto itself once one is truly ready to buy.

First contract was BLT, $85 pp for 200. Was the perfect size for us because I need to at least get a 1 bedroom for 6 to 7 days during low season. I really wanted AKV, but BLT was too good a deal to pass up. I bought site unseen.

The rooms are pretty much all the same. You are just paying for location. There is no bad decision to make.
