I know I am finally ready to let go of our DVC. What is the current commission charged by resale listing agents? Also what is a good company to list with?

TIA.

I've never sold, but have purchased resale 4 times through 3 different brokers. I find the title company to be the most important part and between the 3 brokers there have only been 2 title companies. I agree, TSS has been great to work with (2 of our 4 resale purchases).

There's a new company called "dvc magic resales" at charges 7% commissions that may be of interest to you.

Is it possible to sell direct? Maybe on Ebay or Craigslist?
Yes, but there's very little, if any, benefit to the buyer. ROFR means that any discount you give a buyer could backfire and result in them not getting the contract. And for that one potential and questionable benefit, they're foregoing the real benefit of working with a knowledgeable staff and professional title company to manage the process of purchasing. On the selling side, you'll be responsible for fielding questions and offers, writing a contract, submitting to ROFR, and finding a lawyer to draw up and file the deed.

Personally, I have never seen a direct sale price that was tempting enough to forego the benefits of buying through a broker.

I would never attempt to sell on ebay or craigslist. I don't know how to do the paperwork and I don't want to know. I am glad to pay someone else to their job so I can do mine.
