Hi

I wonder if anyone is able to help...

I am looking to book to return to DLP this December..

Ive never been on Eurostar before but it quotes me £53 each to Paris from London or £120 each direct to Disneyland. which is more than double the fare to Paris..

Is there a cheaper way to get to disneyland after getting off the Eurostar in Paris..I believe its somewhere called Gare De Nord??

I read online something called RER metro? but i'm finding it hard to try and find a price for that and to see if it is anywhere near where the Eurostar stops..

Thanks for your help :)

Are you not able to get to Lille and the use the TVG? That might work out cheaper.

Hi - the RER is the train lines which connect Paris with the suburbs and the larger cities in France, whereas the metro is the train network for inner Paris (like the London Underground). The Eurostar drops you at the Gare du Nord station in Paris, which is a station which has both metro and RER trains running from it.

When you get off the Eurostar all you need to do is jump on the RER line B4 for 1 stop (Chatelet les Hales) and here change to a direct train to DLP. Its not very hard to navigate I promise!!!

The tickets you just buy at a booth or at a machine, and from memory I think they only cost about £10 each if that!

Hope this helps!

thanks very much for the help...

Would you say its far to walk from the Eurostar stop to where I have to board the RER line B4?

thanks

Not that I can remember I think we just had 2 change platforms thats all!

Just to add that you will want the RER line A4 from Chatelet les Hales to Marne La Vallée (DLRP). The journey takes approx 40 mins.

Enjoy your trip!

thanks :)

If just found some fares online for RER 1-5 zone travelcard, and it saves me £140 and my friend £90 rather than going direct on the Eurostar.

Sounds scary getting through unknown stations but im sure we would get there eventually LOL, even if we went the wrong way and back again hahaha

I did this last August as Eurostar wanted silly money for the direct train.

Below is a simple guide so you can't go wrong!

When you arrive at Paris Nord make your way to the RER terminal (it's clearly signposted as
rer.png
). You need to get the RER line B (it will be signposted as
p_rer_b.gif
. You take line B to Chatelet Les Halles. At Chatelet Les Halles you need to change to RER line A. To do this follow the signs for
p_rer_a.gif
. On the platform you will notice the travel information boards hanging above the platform. It will list several stations and some will have lights next to them. Make sure Marne-La-Vallee has a light next to it otherwise that train wont be stopping there. If the light isn't lit simply wait for the next train.

Total journey time is around 50 minutes (including waiting for transfers etc...)

When on the train you should notice a map of the line. Look at it and note the name of the next stop to ensure you have caught the right train in the correct direction.

It should cost around €6 per adult (one-way). At the ticket booth in Paris Nord (known as Gare du Nord in French) there should be an English speaking window. So just tell him you want a ticket to Marne-La-Valle.

Hope this helps.

just noticed you said 6 euros for an adult...

thats even cheaper than what I found on a site yesterday as that said Euro 18 single for and adult and Euro 9 for child.

ps. where do I find the Euro sign on a laptop LOL!!!!
